What People's Say About Place

After being recommended by numerous friends, we had a wonderful dinner experience at The Brandywine last night. The food was superb and the atmosphere was just right for quiet conversation at our table. The Valentine's Day menu (weeklong specials) was excellent. We visited with Chef Robert after dessert and appreciated his warm hospitality. An added bonus was the parking garage (free parking) below the restaurant. On a snowy night, it was great to drive from garage to garage. We will be back!

The service and food was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed our cocktails, raw oysters, filet, and halibut. Dessert was phenomenal, and the Salted Caramel pot de creme was perfect for after a big meal. The only criticism I can give is that the tables are very close together. Overall, an excellent place for a special dinner.

Small, but intimate place. Staff gr8....menu drinks and food all amazing! Recommend! It was restaurant week...gnocchi...brussel sprouts..duck frites...burrito with beets.

Absolutely delicious food with attention to detail. The ambiance was good and even better was the service! Every dish I ordered was fresh, executed to perfection and presentation was gorgeous! Enjoyed the drinks, huge selection. Superb experience! The vibe of the restaurant is vibrant and positive! Good going Chef!

Everything was spot on! Crab cakes and Crab Louie were great starters along with the Parker House Rolls. Greenville Manhattans were yummy. Recommend both the Steak Diane and the Fried Chicken! Next time we will try the Beef Wellington! Thanks for helping us celebrate Randy's first day of retirement in style!

I came here for dinner on New Year's Eve. Although the restaurant was busy, the service was very attentive. We ordered three courses, of which I felt the first course of appetizers to be my favorite part of the meal. The grilled octopus was prepared in a way I had never experienced before and the focaccia was AMAZING. There were some options for vegetarians, but not a ton of entrees. I ordered the tuna nicoise salad and it was good. Not mind-blowing, but salads rarely are. I would definitely come back for another special occasion.

Once again, Chef Robert takes his skills to the next level with this newest endeavor. We were first impressed by the service starting at the bar with specialty drinks. Flowing effortlessly to a table, the Brandywine team worked to take care of every need. Appetizers of burrata, tart with frisée, and breaded cauliflower were enjoyed by all. Once cleared, we were presented with a special mushroom risotto course before our entrees. Each course was well timed, allowing plenty of enjoyment to complete. The entire table was cleared and reset between courses. Dinner for the four of us consisted of Wild Boar Bolognese, Pork Milanese, Scallops over Risotto, and a Halibut seafood special over Pearl Pasta. The flavor combinations and presentation of each dish were incredible! We highly recommend The Brandywine and will be back frequently.

We came to the restaurant with no expectations, however, this restaurant really surprised us in a good way. We got fresh oysters and corn salad for appetizer. Both were tasty, however, the corn salad is definitely more memorable. It had a light, yet refreshing dressing, and the crab meat was so sweet and fresh. I’d be ok to skip the oysters lol. I got halibut and my husband got the duck. They’re fantastic! Gently seasoned, but deliver an impactful flavor of the ingredients! For dessert, we had the brownie cheesecake and churro ice cream sandwich. You MUST try the churro ice cream! Get your own and refuse to share! Out of this world! Definitely the best and most noteworthy part out of our meals. The flavor combination and texture were perfectly concocted. The restaurant is pretty small and there’s also a bar in the dining room so it got pretty loud and a bit hard to chat.
